In Facebook you can now Easily Convert Profile Pages to Business Pages!
If you originally set up a Facebook Profile for your buisness as a pseudo-business page under a personal account and would like to migrate over to the new Facebook Business page format Facebook has provided a tool.
Fortunately, Facebook released a tool in 2011 that allows users to convert their personal profiles into Facebook Business pages. Clicking on the Migration Tool brings up a screen titled Profile to Business Page Migration that lists the six major categories Facebook for Business pages. You should also see the following wording across the top:
"At this time only your profile photo and friends will be moved to your new Page. No other content will be moved. You will still be able to log in from your original email address and password. Learn more. Select which type of Page you are below:"
The procedure for converting a profile to a business page is simple. Just select the appropriate one of the six categories your profile page falls under and Facebook converts all the pictures, content, friends, and subscribers in your page into a new Business page.
Once you change your Profile page to a Business page Facebook converts all current friends and subscribers to likes. Each will receive a notification that a friendship has been adjusted to a like. It is then up to them to "unlike" your page if they so desire.
